Sample Packs

So to boost my sample library I’ve been hard on the downloading and buying sample packs, but good quality ones that have a wide, versatile range of sounds and loops. As I already stated much earlier on in the year, I’ve already bought the Danny Byrd one, but have now added the Nu-Tone to my collection, and will be adding the Syncopix and Mistabishi ones from the series soon, available at http://shop.hospitalrecords.com/browse/releases. There are others in the series, including one from KJ Sawka and a new one from Bop. Hospitality is widely regarded as one of the best and most up to date drum and bass events/label, and is ultimately where I would love to end up, so why not use the sounds available to me from them.

Another really good sample pack is the one from Drumsound and Bassline Smith, which comprises of some slighter darker, dirtier sounds and loops to get involved with. Primeloops are another good company that create a range of sample packs for many music genres. At the end of the day there are certain sounds you can use in any genre or at any tempo, but with every pack there will always be the main body that will only be applicable to the relevant genre, so getting ones most applicable is important.
